 The 30th Cochin flower show is organized by District Agri-horticultural Society for six days from 28 Dec 2012.  It would be conducted at Ernakulam Siva temple ground. This is an annual horticultural extravaganza and regularly attracts thousands of visitors. The major highlight of this year’s cochin flower show would be flower arrangements on Egyptian theme. It include an exhibition of Imported Hybrid varieties of Phalenopsis and a display of the anthurium.  This beautiful  show features various types of plants and flowers, would be a visual treat to visitors.
The main objective of conducting this show is to instill awareness among the flower lovers, growers and people of farming society. This years thematic floral decoration by experts aiming to  popularize various aspects of floral art and presents a mesmerizing scene with flowers of numerous varieties and colors. Exotic flora  that are grown in the region and other imported varieties are also displayed in the exhibition.
The serious initiatives of the horticultural department has made the Cochin Flower Show more attractive. Public and private institutions including nurseries across the state are participating  in the event.
